The room was super cozy and really well stocked with lovely touches like homemade cookies and fresh yogurt. Plus, it's just a short 5-minute drive to nearby attractions, making it super convenient. The surrounding farmland was charming, especially with the friendly sheep and goat hanging out. The host was lovely, making me feel right at home.
The furniture felt quite dated, and I found the couch pretty uncomfortable. The TV was tiny—more like a laptop screen! the cooktop seemed like it needed some serious updating. A bit more attention to improvements would definitely elevate the experience. it was a nice stay but could use some sprucing up.

The staff was exceptionally nice and accommodating - we would come here again. We stayed at the newly decorated and good-sized room with the fridge, kichen, as for instance. The hotel's position was perfect and exceptionally nice, near to town Centre, New Zealand, and main township.

We had a lovely romantic escape! Our room was fairly spacious and clean, providing us a comfortable base to explore nearby attractions. The location is super convenient for driving, which made our early morning adventures a breeze. Plus, the friendly staff got our heaters ready before we even arrived-what a nice touch!
On the flip side, the place is a bit dated and some of the decor could use a refresh. We did notice some road noise, but it wasn’t overly distracting.

I really liked the spacious room and the cozy vibe! The homemade cookies and yogurt were a sweet touch, plus it was only a 5-minute drive to town. The surrounding farmland with cute sheep and goats added a unique charm I didn't expect.
But then there’s the road noise – even in the back rooms, it was annoyingly noticeable. The furniture felt like it was straight out of the 70s, super old and uncomfortable. Plus, that tiny TV was just ridiculous! It was a decent stay, but it definitely needs some serious updating.

The bed was comfy, but the place felt dated and could use some sprucing up.

The kitchen was unsightly with dirty dishes and food splatters!!! Plumbing upgrades needed seriously, as the shower drain caused a flooding mess!!! Some rooms need a little sprucing up for a better vibe!!!

I almost thought about giving this place a good review, but then i was reminded of the shower control from the ark, and the weird smell in the room. Not a single complimentary gesture for my discomfort. It's like they expect every guest to be grateful for their no-frills experience. Very disappointing.

The quaint, clean, and tidy setup was just perfect, with a comfy bed and helpful staff who provided extra towels and a bottle of milk. The location was ideal, close to shops and the Matamata-Te Aroha cycle trail. We enjoyed the refreshing pool, despite some minor slip hazards from rain, and had a lovely time exploring nearby attractions like Hobbiton. a charming stay!

I was eager to visit the iconic Welcome to Hobbiton Sign, and Maple Lodge was the perfect choice for its proximity. I was pleasantly surprised by the availability of free WiFi, which made planning my day so much easier. Plus, the Horse and Jockey Inn served fantastic European and New Zealand meals just a short 15-minute walk away, making my dining experience good.
Furniture was a bit dated.
